Enjoy a 2 hours Walking tour of Monemvasia to the Upper and Lower old town, accompanied by a local guide!

We walk through the meandrous narrow streets of the old town, the fortress walls and the churches and we step back to the life of the mythical castle-town throughout the centuries. Gazing at Myrtoo Sea below the imposing rock, we relive the stories and the legends, listen to poems written about this place and learn the local history, architecture and culture.

This Tour includes following the winding and narrow pathway that leads to the summit from the main square of the Lower Town. We visit the recently restored buildings on the Upper Town as well as the famous church of Santa Sofia which proudly stands at the very edge of the cliff. A small refreshing stop with a little tasting of local products (olive oil, local wines, traditional sweets) gives you the chance to taste the real Monemvasia.

The Upper Town is the best spot for taking pictures in Monemvasia and you have your time for that. Please note that climbing to the Upper Town requires being in a good physical condition.
