During this amazing walking tour in the picturesque alleys of Nafplio, we visit all the most popular sights and we experience its best parts with a local guide. We visit the most important archaeological sites, we search for traces of the Franks, Venetians and Ottomans in the architecture of the city and we enjoy the scents of the basils and jasmines that are so characteristic for the city and its castles.

This tour is for the very first time visitors of Nafplio who want to see and learn as much as possible in just 1-1.5 hours.

We start our tour from the lobby of your hotel or from the port of Nafplio.  Starting from the Land Gate we enter within the walls of the old city and we visit among others the Cathedral and the square of Saint Spiridon where Ioannis Kapodistrias, the first Governor of Greece, was murdered.

We continue our walk to the Syntagma Square, the heart of the city, and we explore its historic buildings from different periods such as the Archaeological Museum, the Vouleftikon that housed the first parliament of the free Greek state and the Old Mosque.  Finally we head to the little peaceful old port to explore the Venetian fortress of Bourtzi, the trademark of the city, built on the island of Agioi Theodoroi.

After your visit we head back to the port or the hotel.
