Terms and Conditions

Please, before you subscribe to any of our organized trips, read carefully the General terms of participation, which constitute an integral part of the contract package. Your participation in any excursion organized by our office automatically means that you are aware and have accepted without reservations the following terms, which are in compliance with Directive 90/314, EEC and MS 339/1996.

The general terms of Participation include all the general information and the rights and obligations of both parties in the package, whereas for concrete and specific information (destinations, prices, days and hours of departure and return, transportation, accommodation, visits, etc.), referring to each package individually, you should consult the program of each trip and the relevant price list.

  1. GENERAL

The programs are valid for the period indicated in the current price list and in indivisible conjunction therewith, which may also include possible changes, corrections, and information about travel, binding all customers. The final configuration of the journey, the services and the price included in the contract of the package, signed and accepted by both parties, as well as the information and data of the program may change due to the frequent and occasional changes of the global conditions, and particularly in transportation and international relations.

  1. RESPONSIBILITIES OF OUR TRAVEL COMPANY

Our travel office acts as a mediator between the travelers-customers and the agencies used to organize trips (hotels, local tourist operators, etc.) as well as any other who offers services for the smooth execution of every travel program. Our office has no direct control of these agencies and, therefore, it bears no responsibility in cases of serious errors, omissions and organizational weaknesses emanating from these intermediaries involved in carrying out the program of the tour. Our company is also not liable for defects in the execution of the excursion and difficulties that are not due to the fault of our office, but to events of force majeure (wars, adverse weather conditions, strikes, hijacks, natural disasters etc.).  It is not responsible for possible accidents, illnesses due to climatic conditions, epidemics, poisonings, crimes, theft, loss of luggage or money or passports, luggage damage, etc.

  1. IMPLEMENTATION OF PROGRAM

Our office makes every effort for the consistent and accurate implementation of the program you signed up for. However, in many cases of imponderable factors and unforeseen situations, the change and diversification of the program becomes imperative. Possible change of hours of departures from morning to noon or afternoon and vice versa or boarding time to road trip bus is not considered a change of the program. Any change or modification of the program may occur either prior to departure or during the tour.

A) Prior to departure. Our Office has the right to modify the travel schedule, as mentioned, because of unpredictable factors such as a hotel change due to problems at its premises or due to events which may occur at the place of destination (e.g. weather conditions, political events, riots, etc.). In such cases, the customer has the following options: a) To accept the change, after being informed b) to cancel his/her participation with a refund, c) to participate in another tour of the office with the same price or at a cheaper one with the simultaneous refund of the difference in price or in a more expensive trip by paying the additional price.

B) During the trip, the leader is entitled, aiming solely at your own safety and the best possible program execution, to make amendments to the program when any of the following unforeseen events or imponderable factors occurs (delays or cancellations of transport routes, wars, civil unrest, strikes, weather conditions, etc.). In such cases all the extra costs for the proper implementation of the program (e.g. extra overnight stays, meals, transportation) shall be charged to the traveler as long as it becomes obvious that it was impossible to predict them. In the event that the program of the trip is interrupted due to the aforementioned events of force majeure, after travelers return to their destination, our office will make every effort to return the cost of the services that were not provided.

  1. TRAVELLING PRICES -CHARGES

The value of the trips is listed in the price list, in which all the  mandatory charges are analyzed, calculated based on the costs of the travel (transport costs, hotel deals) and the exchange rates in force at the date of adoption of the price list. The company reserves the right to adjust the prices in case of change of the cost factors of the trip.

A change in the value of travel due to the above reasons can be made up to 10 days before departure. In the event of a significant price increase due to the above reasons, the customer may, within three days from the notice, cancel his/her participation and to be subject to a refund or to be offered another package of equal value.

The prices of package tours are only for one person and cover only what is referred in the “included” services. If you wish an extended stay or an additional service that is not included in the program, please consult the Reservations Department and you will be charged with the  additional costs.

Our company has the right, for a certain period of time or for a limited number of seats, to sell packages at more favourable prices, with special cancellation conditions.

In the event of a special offer, the reservation requires the advance payment of the service as well as different cancellation periods or the right to participate – usually unfavourable for the traveler – to apply. In special offers the reservation may not be subject to any change or cancellation and cancellation may require 100% cancellation charge.

  1. RESERVATIONS

In order a reservation to be valid, you must pay a deposit equal to 30% of the package price, 30 days prior to departure. Telephone bookings not accompanied by payment are not binding. The package must be paid in full no later than 10 days prior to departure otherwise our office has the right to cancel the booking by returning the deposit.

  1. CANCELLATION OF TOUR-(from the Office)

Our office has the right to cancel a trip before departure primarily due to facts constituting force majeure (as mentioned above) for safety purposes. In this case the customers will get a refund.

It is possible a minimum number of participants to be required, for which you will have been informed by the terms of the program of each package. Our company reserves the right to cancel the tour due to non-completion of the required minimum number of participants. In this case, our office is not responsible for any compensation other than a refund. The office must also inform in writing, and within the period indicated in the package description, the consumers who have registered for this package and to propose any alternatives. In both cases of cancellation, you have the right to participate in another package, either cheaper (so you are refunded the price difference), or more expensive (you pay the extra price) or the same price.

  1. TOUR-CANCELLATION (by the customer)

Every traveler has the right to cancel his/her participation in a trip. This action must be carried out from your side, knowing the obligations undertaken by our office against any entity involved in the organization of a trip (hotels, transport etc.) and to whom he/she is bound with strong compensation under the agreements made between the office and third parties and to whom he/she is obliged to pay money either you travel or not. Cancellation Fees may vary for certain custom itinerary tours; your Landlife Travel consultant will specify cancellation fees prior to making your reservation.

  1. HOTELS-ROOMS

Rooms are usually delivered at 14.00 and are available until 12.00 on departure day. All hotels cooperating with travel office are licensed by the authorities of the state they are located.

  1. INSURANCE

Our Office, acting in accordance with the law, has covered its responsibility towards you for any claims from the non-performance or improper performance of the contract, as well as the refund and the repatriation of trips in the event of insolvency or bankruptcy, making a professional liability insurance with an insurance company, whose name can be revealed upon your intention to enroll to our trip. This insurance does not cover you in case of an accident or illness during the trip. This (life, accident insurance.) is covered at your own risk by making insurance in any insurance company at your expense.

  1. CUSTOMER OBLIGATIONS – RESPONSIBILITIES

Each traveler is responsible for his/her travel documents (passport, visas, certificates, etc.). Our office is not responsible for any delay or failure for reasons concerning the traveler himself/herself (e.g. unable to get a visa). Travelers with passports must ensure themselves for any formalities-visas required. The exchange commission (purchase, authenticity of the declaration’s signature, etc.)  is exclusively your responsibility (from bank or Exchange). You are also responsible for the safekeeping and supervision of your personal belongings (cameras, jewelers, valuables, etc.) throughout the tour. You must be consistent with the time and place of departure for the various events of the program (excursions, tours, transport, meals), otherwise the excursion leader has the right to depart without you.  In this case, you are not entitled to any compensation and you will be charged all the possible extra charges (e.g. hiring taxis).

The traveler shall comply with the national laws and regulations and the instructions of the national authorities. LANDLIFE shall bear no responsibility if the traveler faces criminal prosecution, calling for representation to the authority, arrest, ban on entry or exit or any other cancellation by national authorities. No changes on your trip or hotel can be made when the trip is in progress.

The interruption of the trip, for any reason, is not allowed. LANDLIFE under no circumstances returns the amounts paid, and the costs arising from any interruption of the trip (return tickets etc.) are charged exclusively to the traveler. The travelers must examine the program of the tour and the conditions of participation in detail.

If the customer discontinues his/her journey on his own decision, even for reason of force majeure, he/she shall not be entitled to any further service or compensation and the responsibility and the expense of any transportation outside the group shall be paid by him/her.

Similarly, LANDLIFE is not responsible for services that were not provided to the client by his/her negligence or responsibility or because of illness. Before your departure from your hotel or lodging, please make sure you have paid all your personal bills (phone calls, beverages, etc.).

  1. DISPUTE SETTLEMENT

Our office promises to resolve in good faith any difference that may arise with you. In any case of an unresolved disagreement, the Greek law and the courts of Athens are applicable.
